Ambient air quality monitoring

Ambient air monitoring is the monitoring of the quality of the air in a particular area, for example in a city centre. It is not concerned with monitoring the emissions from chimney stacks. The local ambient air quality can be degraded by a number of sources such as diesel vehicles and power station emissions. It measures healthiness and safety of our environment. Our sensor-based outdoor air quality monitoring equipment , stations and systems allow you to measure ambient pollution for less cost and complexity than those based on traditional analyser technology. We talk to our customers about their specific needs and tailor the ambient air quality monitoring system accordingly. To address this responsibility, the Department owns and operates a network of eight ambient air quality monitoring sites stationed throughout the state.
