Control of air pollution in points

Absorption- In this metho the polluted air containing gaseous pollutants is passed. Adsorption- In this metho the polluted air is passed through porous solid. Other air pollution control measures include: By minimizing and reducing the use of fire and fire products.

Since industrial emissions are one of the major causes of air pollution ,. Fuel substitution is another way of controlling air pollution. Although there are many practices in India which. The control of air pollution is one of the principal areas of pollution control, along with wastewater treatment, solid-waste management, and hazardous-waste management. Some of the measures to control air pollution are as follows: 1. The forest cover should be protected by restricting deforestation and through adoption.

There must be a ‘green belt’ around every township and village. These substances linger and cause many adverse effects. As you know, humans and other living creatures rely on the atmosphere for respiration. When air quality is dampened by pollution ,. Steps are to be taken to control pollution at source (prevention) as well as after the release of pollutants in the atmosphere.

There is an urgent need to prevent the emissions from the above said major sources of air pollution. An appreciable amount of pollution is caused due to poor maintenance of the equipment which includes the leakage around ducts, pipes, valves and pumps etc. Emission of pollutants due to negligence can be minimised by a routine checkup of the seals and gaskets.

Fossil fuel and coal are the main contributors to air pollution. Therefore, opting for alternative or renewable energy sources to produce power presents a practical solution to air pollution. Alternative energy sources include wind energy , geothermal energy , solar energy , and hydro-power. Forest fires release pollutants into the air in the same way as fireplaces burning wood produce pollution.

They produce fine smoke particles, which, according to the EPA, are small enough to be able to get into the lungs and damage the lungs and the heart. The adverse effects of air pollution appear in the form of poor quality of air , acidic precipitation (rain, snow and hail) and deposition, and other health hazards. There are four types of control : legal, social, economical, and technological measures, which help to prevent the pollution by various methods of operations.

Pollution control is an essential task. Waste products enter the environment in various forms and threaten the quality of the air , lan and water. Burning charcoal, woo and crop waste release Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), and particulate matter into the atmosphere that potentially causes air pollution.

In some regions, waste is incinerated instead of being land-filled or recycled and as such, it substantially contributes to air pollution. Therefore, air pollution means the undesirable presence of impurities or the abnormal rise in the proportion of some constituents of the atmosphere. It can be classified in sections: visible and invisible air pollution.

Factories, office buildings, homes and power-generating stations burn fossil fuels, which cause air pollution. Keeping the air quality high in your home, car and workplace is important for your health. It creates smog and acid rain, causes cancer and respiratory diseases, reduces the ozone layer atmosphere and contributes to global warming. Air pollution threatens the health of humans and other living beings in our planet.

In this industrial age, air pollution cannot be eliminated completely,. These material may be in form of soli liquid or gaseous substances and released in air due to various activities by human beings causing an adverse effect to natural life.
