Air pollution caused by industries

When their is fish in mercury, is it caused by air or water pollution? Air pollution and climate are completely unrelated subjects and need to be widely separated because there is no interaction except at the local level and very little there except for heat island effect from asphalt paving. What are the ways to reduce air pollution? Is pollution always caused by humans? What cities have the worst air quality?

Air pollution caused by industries

Air pollution is defined as the addition of various hazardous chemicals, particulate matter, toxic substances and biological organisms into the Earth’s atmosphere. POINT SOURCES OF POLLUTION: LOCAL EFFECTS AND IT’S CONTROL – Vol. Additionally, industrial pollution is linked to the degradation of the natural environment. It is important to reduce air pollution. Air quality monitoring systems are the best way to monitor the pollutants.

Chemtrols is one of the companies in India providing these systems. Every industry working anywhere in the world has to follow the law of the land. This act specifies industries that are under hazardous category. Air pollution can be controlled with filters and scrubbers, and by taking steps to minimize the generation of pollution at the source.

This is usually done to avoid the higher costs of disposing wastes correctly or installing waste treatment facilities. Air pollution from gaseous emissions from mainly industry, thermal power stations, automobiles, domestic combustion etc. Thermal power stations 3. In order to provide daily needs of the growing population, different types of industries are setup to produce different products.

Besides the finished products, a good number of by-products are produced. Pollution from natural occurrences is not very often. Industrial chimney wastes 2. Human activities that result in air pollution include: 1. Emissions from industries and manufacturing activities Consider a typical manufacturing plant: You will notice that there are long tubes (called chimneys) erected high into the air , with lots of smoke and fumes coming out of it. Co other harmful gasses. Indoor air pollution , caused by kerosene space heaters, cooking, wall paints, second hand smoke and more, are also known to have an association with the cardiovascular diseases.

This increased risk of cardiovascular diseases by indoor air pollution disproportionately affects the people in the United States. Waste from mechanical and chemical industries is exhausted into the air , much the way a car puts out fumes from its tailpipe. This article throws light upon the four major industries that are responsible for causing pollution. The industries are: 1. India is a nation that is becoming more and more industrialized while its population soars to over a billion people. Outdoor air pollution alone causes 2. Air pollution from factories and vehicles creates ground ozone problems, or smog, that presents significant health issues.

Factories, particularly through the use of large industrial air conditioners, can also release destructive gases, contributing to the depletion of ozone in the upper atmosphere where it is needed. Air pollution has a negative impact on the environment and life in general. Some of the major causes of air pollution include burning of fossil fuels, agricultural activities, exhaust from industries , vehicle fumes, mining operations and indoor pollutants.

CO, CO², nitrogen oxides, particulates and water vapor – are also a significant source of air pollution.
